About Charlotte

I am a recent graduate of a Masters of Information Studies, have worked as a librarian most of my life and have taught literacy in Africa. I have volunteered with the Adult Migrant English Programme of Australia and the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory. I have a CERT IV in Training and Assessment and also hold a CELTA certificate to teach English. Having travelled widely, I am able to speak 5 languages which helps me to have empathy for my students.

About the lesson

My teaching method is questionning and empowering the student to find their own answers. I base lessons on the needs of each student and like to build on what they already know through their own active participation with me. I like to teach English with empathy and by using topics that interest each student.
I put a lot of effort into preparing for my lessons to ensure that my students have interesting content supporting their English learning.

Travel expenses depend on distance and time required. We can meet at a mutually agreed venue or online. If two friends want to share a face to face lesson a lower rate can be negotiated.
