About Ingrid Elisabeth
I am a Norwegian student in England. My interests encompass literature, myths and mythology, language theory and history, language development, philosophy, psychology, and music.
Experience with homework help and small jobs in translation. Extensive experience with professional, creative and everyday English.
At primary school I struggled a lot with language, especially grammar and vocabulary, and I want to help others in a similar situation. I cracked the code that helped me with the language in secondary school and started reading and learning in English after that. I became very interested in languages afterwards and want to help others find and crack the code for them.
I was taught geography, history, natural sciences and social studies in English myself, as well as taking the subjects Social English and International English at vgs. At university I have so far had the subjects Studying English Literature; World Literature; Intertextuality; Critical Theory; Eighteenth-Century Romanticism; Gothic and Romantic Fiction; Prose Fiction; Creative Non-Fiction; Scriptwriting; Playwriting; Poetry Now!; Gothic, Horror, and Ghost Stories; and Fairytales, Folklore, and Mythology.

People learn in different ways and at different paces. I am keen to focus the lessons and adapt the teaching to what each student needs. This may mean an hour focusing on conversational skills, reviewing grammar and small texts, help with essay or fiction writing, or focusing on homework help and tasks given by the teacher.

I have a great interest in language, literature, and oral and written communication, and try to create commitment and positivity around the subject and subject matter.
I took General Studies with a focus on internationalization in high school and have therefore had geography, natural sciences, history, religion, and social studies in English. Now I study English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Winchester, England.
