About Sandra
I have always liked teaching others. I taught gymnasts for several years. I taught my children math, reading and geography before kindergarten. I also taught my son piano. For the past two years I have been tutoring a few children. I helped a girl catch up in math. Now I am helping native Spanish speaking children. I help the boy with math and I help the girl with reading. They are both doing very well.

My method for teaching is reward based. Especially with younger kids, I like to make learning fun. I have a child with anxiety and attention deficit disorder. It took a lot of patience to teach him. I’m very patient and I really love teaching people. When I’m teaching reading, I like to give the child a choice of books, plus I get books I thing the child would like. I also use apps on my iPad to help children learn. Then at the end of class, if there is time, we do a game or another fun thing.
