About Josie
I have 3 years of 1:1 experience providing play-based life skills classes for children with complex needs, particularly ASD. I hold an MA Dramatherapy qualification and have over 600 hours of experience working with children with an SEN. I cannot provide Dramatherapy on Superprof, but can use my knowledge and experience to teach Life Skills such as emotional regulation, turn-taking, social awareness and communication.

My emphasis is always on playfulness, fun and the individual child's motivations. I always plan my lessons to an extent, but take the lead from the child and adapt the lesson spontaneously to them. If a child disengages into self-stimulatory behaviour ('stimming'), I tend to follow their lead until they are ready to re-engage.
