About Theo
During the past 14 years of international teaching, I spent the first two years at a Bangkok based Language School, MELC where I taught various age groups and student levels. The youngest student was a very young learners [age 4 years old] and the oldest students was over 70 years old. Similar to Special English Program schools in Asia, classes often consist of students with mixed abilities.
Each student studied at a different level and we used existing school textbooks or material which I had created in order to achieve specific learning outcomes for the students. It was interesting to teach Primary-, Secondary-, College-, and University students improving speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Many students studied for exam preparations: University of Cambridge International for young learners, others for college-, university-, or business qualifications.
All students I know managed to achieve their goals, students passed their exams well.
At corporate level, staff training in improving English skills reflected an excellent investment, contributing to enhanced international business activities, exports and customer satisfaction.
Other students managed successfully to improve their reading, writing, speaking, listening and communication skills achieving a higher skill level than many of their peers in class often with better exam marks in schools, colleges or universities.
The structure of corporate group students can be best explained as follows: either single or student groups from companies in different industries: Manufacturing, Service oriented such as airline and airport personnel, hotel and restaurant staff in the positions of Customer Service Manager, International Customer Care Representatives, Managers and Directors.
In the following years I continued to work with Primary-, and Secondary students in English Program schools [IEP, MEP, SEP] and at different school levels.

Hello, my name is Teacher Theo. I am teaching subjects like English Language, English Comprehension, English Skills, English Grammar, Academic Writing, Business English - helping you to achieve your academic goals in school - working with you to improve reading, writing, speaking and/or listening comprehension (understanding) skills.
My qualifications are a B.A. and Master Degree in Teaching English to students of Other Languages - B.A. and M.A.Ed.TESOL [US].
Additional UK and international qualifications are in Information Communication Technology - ICT, Advanced Business Administration and a Dipl. in Marketing and Market Research accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London (CIM).
I am a licensed teacher and also a certified University of Cambridge International course teacher and invigilator for the following exams: KET, PET, SAT/CHECKPOINT, IGCSE, GCE A/AS level.
With 14 years international English teaching experience, I taught 7 years in Special English Program Schools in Asia and three years at the IPS International School in Bangkok according to British-, Singaporean-, and Thai Curricula. Two years online teaching and two years teaching students at the MELC Rangsit Language school further enhanced an enjoyable teaching experience - teaching students individually and in small groups. During this time I also created corporate / Business English courses to companies and employees in Asia.
I have two years of English online teaching experience teaching students in China, conducting Communication and Correspondence courses or preparing students individually or in groups for their Cambridge BEC, IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL qualifications.
Usually I discuss the course or lesson objectives at the beginning of each lesson. Together we summarize important outcomes of previous lessons and answer any remaining questions. I am consistently aiming to integrate important GRAMMAR into each lesson - simultaneously improving reading, writing, speaking and listening [comprehension, understanding] skills.
The lesson objectives will then be clearly defined and agreed. Important is the pace in which each lesson is conducted. This pace can and has to be adjusted to each student ensuring the most comfortable and enjoyable learning experience.

For corporate clients please note that I worked successfully as Senior Manager in two well-known multi-national companies before being promoted to Commercial Director/ Vice President in a UK manufacturing company responsible for Commercial-, Operational-, Finance-, Legal-, and Human Resources aspects of the job. New business development success in the Middle East, Central-, and Eastern Europe and Asia. Resonsible for business developments in over 40 countries. Director registration with the Institute of Directors (IOD) in London.
