About Sammie
It is easiest to learn about things when they are interesting, that is a fact- and by default, this also means it is harder to learn about things when they are uninteresting or not explained well enough. I've been there, and I know a lot of the GCSE set texts can be difficult or straight up strange to read. Therefore, I want to put in the effort to explain and bring an interest and understanding to whatever you need help with in english, and help with formatting good notes and how to stick to a safe structure that will guarantee you'll exceed a pass. I am a flexible and communicative tutor and want my lessons to be refreshing and helpful.

Lessons will be from 45min-55min. In the first five or so minutes, the student(s) will be asked what their current topic is in their lessons and what they are struggling or would like to improve on. If they can't think of anything, I will make suggestions and ask them to show their work so we can analyse and learn how to improve it.
We will focus on larger topics such as how to understand and write about poetry texts and how to make an essay about a novel sound in depth by learning new skills. This will be done with new samples from different texts each lesson and quizzes about names of methods and key words to forge them into natural memory. I like to be flexible with my lessons, so this format can be changed and adjusted to the student's needs.
I had an excellent English teacher during my GCSE years that brought passion and interest into the subject which made me excell and pursue it for my A Levels, and now I want to bring enthusiasm together with new knowledge to younger students.
