About Dante
I have been writing, directing, editing, and acting in films since 2009. I have an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Kent, Canterbury in the UK and have traveled around the world making different kinds of film projects including commercials, music videos, short dramas, and educational shorts. I have also taught a wide range of age groups, from as young as 6 to middle age.
I am also a published poet and poetry editor and have studied a wide range of subjects academically, as I truly believe in being interdisciplinary. I love movies, obviously, but I also love a good novel or video game when time allows. I love connecting with students especially and hope to be someone you can rely on wherever you are along your life journey with film.

I love movies - watching them, making them, and discussing them. My lessons are catered to anyone studying film at any level and for any reason, whether they are pursuing an eventual career or just love it as a hobby. I have over a decade of experience writing, directing, editing, and acting in films and can help with any kind of film-related project.
My lessons plans might include giving you prompts to write or make a short film about. Or I may ask you to watch a film before coming back together to talk about key elements and what you can take away from it to make your own works even better.
If you're a filmmaker, I want your films and screenplays to come alive and become the best they can be. I can provide detailed, professional feedback on any project you've already started or simply help you discover your voice as we discover your strengths and work on projects together.
If you're an academic, I want to help you understand your own theories of film and writing while understanding the prevailing historical trends and why the classics are considered important.
