About David
I'm a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a BA (Hons) in English Literature; I've previously completed A Levels in English, History and Philosophy. I've been involved in tutoring for several years now, and my students have gone on to achieve top grades. I'm experienced in a wide range of areas of English Literature from medieval verse through to contemporary drama, so am well equipped to tutor for a range of courses and requirements.

I specialise in providing students with a toolkit of close reading techniques, which they can then use to break down the texts they're studying in order to access the highest grades. Using top methods learnt at Cambridge, I'll guide tutees through different critical approaches whilst also teaching them concepts and terms they can use to better describe what they encounter.
I make an effort to get to know my students and tailor methods to particular interests - tranches of lessons will begin with me making an effort to discern a student's individual goals, and we'll evaluate our progress with reference to them as time goes by.
