About Laura
I am an English Language and Literature student currently at Oxford University. I coached my cousin for her Literature GCSE (she ended up with a 9!) and an A-Level student online, who unfortunately didn’t take their exam this year. Iam looking to help more people. I’m happy to take on any form of English, because I did both language and literature at A-Level and GCSE. In both subjects, I attained 100% in the exams.

I think it’s important to start small and build up. Grammar sounds boring, but it really isn’t, it’s just taught wrong and essential to good writing. From there, we would work together to begin with something that you find interesting - a text like poetry or a novel is great, but some really great textual analysis can take place on a magazine article, an advert, or even a brand slogan. We can adapt to your needs - if it’s exam practice, help with a specific text, close reading, essay writing, whatever you want to work on!
