About Amelie
I have been fortunate to study Classics, specialising in Roman History, for the last five years at the University of Oxford. I have just graduated, and am keen to share my love for the ancient world, and for learning about the humanities in general. I take a relaxed, informal approach to lessons, driven by the students' needs, exams and, most importantly, academic curiosity!

About the lesson

Lessons will be conducted with the intention of sparking curiosity about the subject and engaging in discussions, beyond just passing exams and following the syllabus (which of course will be important too!). If suitable for the student, I will use the technique of 'flipped learning', to encourage students to come to the lesson having prepared some material. This follows my experience of Oxford's tutorial system, and will therefore also be useful for those interested in making an Oxbridge application or preparing for an interview.
