About Victoria
I'm a PhD candidate in English at UCL who specialises in contemporary literature. Before coming to London, I lived in Oxford, and I've also studied abroad in America more than once. While I love research, my heart's in teaching, and I think the best teachers I've had were those who were willing to meet me where I was. That's what I try to bring to my own teaching.

As a previous tutor of undergraduates and postgraduates, I'm experienced in one-on-one teaching where the lesson (30 minutes to an hour) is tailored to the individual. I believe in engaging with what the student cares about, while stressing the fundamentals: careful reading, precise writing, and appreciation for literature across time. I'm comfortable with A-Level students and those applying to university for English; I'd also welcome Oxbridge applicants especially.
