About Daniel
As I only recently completed my studies at Oxford (in July 2016), I am just beginning my career as a private teacher. However, the 'Tutorial System' in Oxford prepared me well to give private lessons. There was always a maximum of 2 students with the tutor during each tutorial at Oxford so I will use this same guided-discussion method with my own students.

My name is Daniel. I'm American, but I passed my french baccalaureate with international option with honors in 2012. I just finished my degree in philosophy and French literature at the University of Oxford. My teaching method is based on the method of the 'Tutorial System' used at Oxford. I ask my students to prepare for the lesson by reading a text and / or by making a detailed plan for an answer to a specific question. During the lesson, I ask questions and I ask the student to defend his/her ideas. With this method, the student will cultivate critical thinking skills and learn how to formulate ideas into effective arguments.
