About Ben
I am a GDL/LPC graduate and a paralegal with a national UK law firm, offering tutoring in all areas of law. I can assist with undergraduate law degrees, the Graduate Diploma in Law, or the Legal Practice Course, and I can also give guidance on Training Contract applications to give you a head start in your legal career.
My background was originally in history and politics at undergraduate level, where I received a First. I then completed the GDL and received a Commendation, and I have completed the LPC at Commendation level also. I have also secured a Training Contract, and can give guidance on the application process and how to succeed at interviews.
I have wide experience in the academic side of the law, and in-depth experience in how the law works in practice. I can teach you the legal practice skills that are tested in the LPC and which make a big difference to your ability once you start your career in the law.

I am offering lessons to law students of all levels, from A-Level through to undergraduate and the LPC. I specialise in academic law at undergraduate/GDL level, and procedural law and legal skills for the LPC. I can also give guidance on the application process for Training Contract applications.
Lessons involve going through the content of the course/module in a structured way, using prepared powerpoint slides. We will then focus in on any areas you would like to cover in detail to make sure you have a complete understanding of the topic. Finally, we will work together to produce an outline of an exam answer, and I will ask you to complete the exam answer in your own time and send it to me ahead of our next lesson. I will review and mark the exam answer against the exam criteria and give feedback, and we will go through the feedback together at the start of the next lesson.
I will work hard to make sure that you have a full understanding of the topic and I am happy to adapt our lessons to whatever will suit you best.
