About Derick
I am someone who genuinely loves working with numbers, but my true passion lies in helping others succeed. I know that math and accounting can feel overwhelming to many students, and I want to change that experience for them.
My primary reason for teaching is to be the patient guide that a learner needs when a concept just isn't clicking. Nothing is more rewarding to me than watching a student's frustration turn into a "lightbulb moment" of complete understanding. I want to use my strong language skills, deep subject knowledge, and calm nature to build an environment where students feel safe to learn, make mistakes, and ultimately unlock their full potential.

Hi there! I am a passionate, fluent English-speaking tutor dedicated to making mathematics and accounting accessible, logical, and stress-free. My deep love for numbers drives me to help students truly understand the "why" behind every calculation, rather than just memorizing steps for an exam.
Having successfully mastered school level mathematics, including advanced concepts like matrices, alongside accounting from introductory foundations up to Grade 12, I am fully equipped to guide learners at any stage of their academic journey.
My greatest teaching asset is my absolute patience. I know firsthand that every student processes numerical concepts differently. Because of this, I deliberately adapt my pacing, communication, and examples to match each individual learner. I am here to build a supportive, encouraging space where confusion is met with clarity, mistakes are viewed as vital learning steps, and confidence is steadily built from the ground up.
