About Suegne
I am currently a Masters candidate at the University of Pretoria specialising in theoretical chemistry, investigating the nature of chemical bonding of the peptide bond within the peptide backbone of proteins.
Over the course of my studies, from my BA which included education modules, up to and including my MSc, I have learnt different methods of learning and imparting knowledge. I have always enjoyed teaching and imparting knowledge to whomever wants to learn, but during my BSc studies it became my passion and as such, became part of my future plans. I believe that gaining knowledge should not only be about remembering information, but understanding it and making it your own. To me, metacognitive development and improvement while acquiring knowledge is a very important part of education.
I’m a very passionate person with a lot of interests, reflected in my broad range of degrees, but I feel this makes me always strive for what I want and more. I dream big, so I strive big.

This is where my psychology and science background complement each other the most, as I have the science knowledge but also the insight and knowledge about development and cognition.
