About Mastora
With a Bachelor's in Chemistry, a minor in Urban Education from Rutgers University, and a Master’s in STEM Education from the American College of Education, I bring both academic expertise and a passion for teaching to every lesson. I’ve spent over 5 years helping students excel in chemistry, combining real-world examples, problem-based learning, and strategic questioning to ensure deep understanding and skill development. My approach is rooted in student-centered learning, where I focus on building critical thinking skills and applying content in meaningful ways. I take pride in my ability to adapt my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student, helping them not only grasp the material but also gain confidence in their abilities. I’ve seen first-hand how powerful a personalized, engaging lesson can be in helping students achieve their goals—and I’m committed to bringing that same success to every student I work with.

As a dedicated tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience in both high school and university settings, I bring a student-centered approach that fosters a deep and lasting understanding of chemistry. My teaching method emphasizes problem-based learning, real-world applications, and strategic questioning to help students develop critical thinking skills alongside mastering the content. I believe that learning is most effective when students are actively engaged and empowered to discover solutions through guided inquiry.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s current challenges and goals. We’ll work through interactive activities, including practical examples that connect chemistry concepts to everyday life or future career contexts. I provide clear, structured explanations while encouraging students to ask questions and think critically about the material. Each session concludes with a review to solidify understanding and outline actionable steps for continued progress.
What sets me apart is my passion for student success and my focus on skills that extend beyond the classroom, such as analytical reasoning and problem-solving. I tailor each session to the individual’s learning style, ensuring that every concept is approachable and accessible.
Whether you're a high school student preparing for exams, a university student tackling organic chemistry coursework, or someone seeking to refine your critical thinking while mastering challenging topics, my lessons are designed to help you succeed and build confidence in your abilities.
