About Courtney

With 7 years of ESL teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding 150–200 High School and College students towards academic and personal success. My journey as a tutor began with a simple belief: every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement.

I specialise in helping students strengthen their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills. I understand that learning English can feel challenging, especially for students who are preparing for exams or higher education. That is why I focus on creating structured, easy-to-understand lessons that build confidence step by step.

A major milestone in my career has been seeing students who once struggled with basic communication become confident speakers. Many of my students have improved their exam scores and actively participated in classroom discussions and presentations. Their success stories motivate me every day.

I believe in positive reinforcement and clear communication. I encourage students to ask questions freely and practise without fear. My teaching approach includes interactive activities, real-world conversations, and consistent feedback.

Education has always been close to my heart. I see myself not only as a tutor but also as a mentor who supports students beyond textbooks. My mission is to help learners become independent, confident English users who are ready for academic and professional success.

About the lesson

My ESL teaching methodology emphasises clarity, consistency, and practical application. I believe that students learn best when lessons are relevant to their personal and professional lives. Therefore, I include real-life examples and case studies in each class. Students participate in meaningful conversations, structured grammar exercises, reading comprehension, and writing practice.

I work on improving fluency, vocabulary range, and pronunciation accuracy. Motivation is encouraged through regular feedback and measurable progress. When challenges arise, I use effective problem-solving techniques to ensure students fully understand the topic. Integrity and respect form the foundation of my teaching practice.

Flexibility allows me to customise lessons for different learning styles and proficiency levels. Along with ESL, I teach business English, academic communication, interview preparation, and spoken English skills.
