About Kiren

I currently work as freelance performer, choreographer, movement director, theatre maker, tutor, and facilitator. I work with institutions such as The Place, Siobhan Davies Studios, and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama amongst others. I have taught all ages, from 2yrs old up to those in their 90s. I believe I am an empowering and supportive tutor who truly can encourage the best in my students. I love teaching because I love dance and movement. Each student is an artist. I love discovering the new ways students approach the artwork, what they have to offer, and what I can offer them, to achieve their potential as artists.

About the lesson

I take pride in my person centred approach to movement and dance. I teach each student as an individual and work with methods that suit them best to encourage growth, development, and improvement. I take great care with the health, safety, and wellbeing of the bodies I am working with and strive to support the strength, mobility, and longevity of our bodies. I work with all ages and have excellent understanding of the different anatomical needs this requires. I work to improve both performance and technical skills whilst building confidence, expression, and creativity.
I also work with actors, teaching Dance specifically for the Acting career, and teaching movement with a Laban focus.
