About Ruby
It’s nice to meet you! My name is Ruby and I’m a Teaching Assistant for primary school classrooms. I have direct experience working alongside teachers supporting lessons and learning. Day in and day out, I assist children of all abilities, including those who may require extra help and motivation to gain their footing.
Due to my background in classroom learning, I have an in-depth understanding of how the curriculum works. I am familiar with the methodology, terminology and schemes in place to maximise the way children learn.
My approach to tutoring originates from my understanding of the classroom environment. In a large class, there can be less room for tailored learning fit for each student to thrive. My tutoring is patient, supportive and caring. I believe every child has the opportunity to succeed when given the means to do so.

As someone who has worked directly in primary school classrooms, I know how to break down tricky concepts into manageable lessons. Supporting students with their work is a day-to-day experience.
I understand that every child learns differently, which is why it is imperative to create an educational plan tailored to each student’s skills and struggles. Through structured activities and assisted tasks, I can help with :
- Phonics and Early Reading
- SPaG
- Reading Comprehension
- SATs preparations
- Creative Writing
