About Rwan
I studied Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, and I am currently a 4th year PharmD student at Dalhousie University. Coming from a healthcare profession, I am passionate in helping those in need. I do not seek any sort of reward or benefit except the sense of accomplishment that comes as a result of helping others. Being a tutor is a gateway to this passion of mine. The biggest reward I could get from being a tutor is seeing the growth and ultimate improvement in students. I love sharing my own experiences to benefit others so that they could learn and be prepared for their future selves. I am very friendly and nonjudgmental, and I have been practicing great communication skills throughout my year of being a Pharmacy student as well as working as a Pharmacy assistant. I have practiced good time management, and I have a skill of building strong relationships with students and patients. I am also very dedicated to my studies, because it is what keeps me going. These skills collectively motivate me to do better, and help people become better.

I come from a medical sciences background, so I’m very familiar with courses such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics and Math. I have experience helping high school & university-level students in these courses. I plan on tutoring online using Google Meets, and I’m very flexible with students. Upon first meeting with the student, we will mutually discuss and agree on a lesson plan based on the students’ struggle with the particular subject. From there, my aim is to strengthen the student’s knowledge while emphasizing the importance of understanding rather than memorization. I also aim to develop a strong relationship with the student, and make him/her/them feel comfortable communicating with me as a tutor.
