About Jamie
I have been helping students improve their writing skills for over five years now first as a private tutor, then as a university instructor. My educational background includes both a BA and MA in English, and I am currently studying for my doctorate in English Literature. I have taught and tutored individuals of all levels and watched them develop a greater command of their writing skills and their levels of critical thinking. I have a great love of the English language, and I am happy to pass on my knowledge and assistance to anyone who needs it.

Though I most often teach students at the university level, I am willing to take on students of all ages. I design my sessions based on where my students are and what they need. If you need help with writing, I can offer helpful strategies for approaching all stages of composition. If you need help with literature, I can help you build reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Reading and writing can be challenging, and I am here to help make it easier.
