My teaching approach is to look over current class work and determine deficiencies. Then I work with the student to help them find books which they enjoy, and meet personal levels of excellence, assign those books and get chapter summaries. The key to good writing is absolutely good reading. A well read student should have little problem with test taking and essay writing. I am willing to take time to talk with students about assignments and provide spellchecking and essay evaluation. I work well with grades 8-12
