I teach philosophy not only to repeat ancient ideas but to inquire about who you are and where you are going, understand the current political/cultural context and develop critical thinking. We learn how to become"lovers of wisdom" in search of truth.

¡Altamente recomendado!
With Juan Cabrera I discovered something I had always heard but never understood: What is happiness? In his ethics classes, he explained in a simple way how Aristotle saw happiness as the ultimate goal of life and how we can achieve it through our decisions and virtues. I was also fascinated by his explanation of deep questions such as 'Why do we exist' in his metaphysics classes. His classes make complex topics interesting and accessible, even if you know nothing about philosophy. Learning with him was an amazing experience, and I now see the world in a completely different way. highly recommended!
I never thought I would be so interested in philosophy until I had sessions with Juan Cabrera. He explains everything in a super clear way, connecting philosophical concepts with real life things, which makes it much easier to understand. In addition, he is super patient and always listens to you, answering your doubts without making you feel bad. You can tell he loves what he does, and that is contagious. If you have the opportunity to take classes with him, don't hesitate, it's totally worth it.
Juan is been around talking to people about philosophy and theology since he was 16 years old. Is a person that is always studying and updating his knowledge and skills. If you ask, people will agree that Juan is very coherent with his philosophy and actions. He has been around serving people in the community doing social services by helping people and sharing knowledge looking for a positive impact for the people. A family man, very dedicated person and responsible.
He always is looking for different ways of teaching, direct, funny, very objective.
Depending of his audience.
Truly recomended.Juan is a great teacher I've known him personally for 10 years now and he has a great mind that understands the root of the problem and it's history around it, and can offer you the tools you need to achieve your potential and maximize your critical thinking. If iron sharpens iron he's a sharp one that can surely sharpen your mind.
