About Nia
I have been teaching piano for nine years, inspired by a lifelong passion for music. I work with learners of all ages, tailoring lessons to individual goals and skill levels. Teaching allows me to combine structured technique, creative exploration, and personalised guidance, helping students grow both musically and personally. I emphasise patience, clarity, and adaptability, blending technical exercises with repertoire practice, improvisation, and interpretive projects. Lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, phrasing, and expression while encouraging confidence and creativity. I create an environment that fosters motivation, curiosity, and meaningful progress. Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and explore various musical genres to continually expand my perspective and inspire students. Witnessing learners evolve from beginners to confident, expressive pianists capable of performing and interpreting music is deeply rewarding. Helping students achieve technical mastery, artistic expression, and a lifelong connection to music remains the foundation of my teaching philosophy.

Assignments include technical exercises, listening tasks, repertoire practice, and creative projects to ensure consistent improvement. Lessons are tailored to individual goals and learning styles, promoting both skill development and musical engagement. Students gain technical proficiency, artistic expression, and performance confidence. Many perform in recitals, collaborate in ensembles, compose original music, or pursue personal projects. Piano study strengthens discipline, focus, creativity, and emotional awareness, extending benefits beyond music.
