About Alda

I’m a former competitive chess player and gold medalist who decided early on to trade intense tournaments for what I love most : sharing the game with kids and beginners. (I also love volunteering back home, teaching chess to out-of-school kids!)

Let’s be real, chess can look intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. We skip the heavy lectures and boring drills. Instead, we keep things light, focusing on fun basics, cool board tricks, and easy ways to start playing. Got a chess book at home, or want to check out mine? We can explore the fun puzzles together!

My lessons are always relaxed, tailored to each kid's age, and entirely stress-free, because kids should think chess is an absolute blast, not a chore.

At the end of the day, chess is all about having a fun partner to play and win with!

About the lesson

My chess lessons are fun, playful, and specially designed for young children starting from age 4 and beginner only. I use engaging storytelling, colorful mini-games, and simple puzzles to introduce how the pieces move, board awareness, and basic rules without feeling overwhelming. Each session is kept lively and encouraging, helping little ones know about chess & codes, spatial reasoning, patience, and problem-solving skills while developing a genuine love for the game.
