About Mahrukh
I am a Politics and International Relations graduate from SOAS, and I have worked in the international development sector for nearly 2 years. I have achieved A*s in GCSE English Language and English Literature, and worked as a GCSE English mentor at my former secondary school. I have myself undertaken some English mentoring, so I have a personal understanding of what makes tutoring effective both as a student and as a teacher, which I hope to apply to my teaching.

My approach is flexible and tailored to the student's needs and learning style - this could include working on essay plans together, analysing a piece of text or working on past paper questions. Generally, I like to focus some time going through the theory of a topic, before working on practical application of the theory- e.g. through practice questions. My lessons will be typically an hour. I have experience mentoring for GCSE English (along with Biology and Latin). My lessons are for GCSE students.
