About Columba
I am currently in my second year of a politics degree at Edinburgh Uni. However, my heart is in English Literature. I studied it to A level and continue to study it in my free time. My particular interest is poetry but I also love plays and novels.

I centre classes around an unseen piece of poetry or prose writing. I’ll read it with the student. Give them time to formulate any ideas about the text. Then I’ll go through the whole passage rigorously with them drawing their attention to points of interest. Finally I’ll let them formulate an essay plan and assess the credibility of their argument.
