About Amber

All throughout my education I was always drawn towards business and entrepreneurship. I graduated University in 2019 and landed a high paying sales job in a world leading telecoms company. However, I slowly started to realise that the corporate environment was not where I wanted to be. I had a desire to feel fulfilled in my job and help others.

So, I trained with a leading organisation called Teach First where I gained my PGDE and starting teaching Business Studies to ages 14-18. Alongside teaching some hours of Psychology to ages 16-18, and PSHE & RE to ages 11-13. I have taught and assessed among AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge Technical for GCSE and A level.

In the midst of this, I started an online business that specialises in online marketing.

I have a passion to help others have an understanding of business so that they can gain skills that support them in many areas of life, and also provide them with the opportunity to enter the world of entrepreneurship!

About the lesson

As an online business owner, I was always inspired by entrepreneurs and business always excited me! After studying it since the age of 14, I have a passion to help others strengthen their business understanding so that they have appropriate skills for life.

Each individual learns very differently, so I take time to understand my students and their best ways of learning so that we can adopt a methodology that is best suited to their needs.

I like to use a teacher-led approach, however combining a range of techniques for interaction.

Lessons are 1 hour long and I use my qualified approach to consolidating information.

Typically this will look like a recall/discovery exercise to identify any gaps, then information delivery styled through a method that is best suited to the individual, following with consolidation and application exercises.

I often combine meta-cognitive and inquiry learning exercises, with a behavioural and humanistic approach to learning so that students feel at ease in lesson.

I like to take a holistic approach to learning, where students long-term goals are considered and we can work towards them together. With an understanding of psychology, I recognise the importance of an individual, holistic approach to learning so that students fulfil their potential inside and outside of lessons.

My prices are based off my educational credentials, alongside having a PDGE (full-time 2 year certification) in professional teaching. I take the time to personalise my approach for each student, with personalised resources and teaching materials.
