About Malaika
I’m Malaika, a postgraduate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Manchester, with a strong passion for mathematics and helping students achieve their goals. I have over a year of experience working with students as a Teaching Assistant, where I developed patience, communication skills and an understanding of different learning needs. I carefully assess each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals, then tailor my lessons accordingly. I aim to make mathematics clear, engaging and enjoyable while building confidence. Whether students need support with schoolwork, exam preparation or strengthening their foundations, I provide friendly, patient and personalised guidance to help them succeed.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals and current level. In the first lesson, I assess strengths and areas for improvement through discussion. I then create a focused learning plan. Typical lessons include clear step-by-step explanations, guided practice and exam-style questions. I encourage students to ask questions and develop confidence in solving problems independently. For online lessons, I use an interactive digital whiteboard or my laptop to explain concepts and work through questions together. With my UK postgraduate background in Applied Mathematics and experience working with students, I monitor progress regularly and adapt lessons accordingly.
