About Lucy

I am a recent graduate at the University of Toronto with a strong academic background in economics, finance, and management. I have experience supporting high school and early university students with AP-level courses and introductory business subjects. I focus on clear explanations, structured problem-solving, and adapting my teaching style to each student’s learning needs. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students build confidence, analytical thinking, and long-term study skills they can apply across subjects.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building strong intuition first, then mastering exam-ready techniques. I break down complex economic and finance concepts into clear frameworks, visuals, and real-world examples so students truly understand why things work, not just how to memorize them. A typical lesson includes concept review, guided practice, exam-style questions, and targeted feedback. I tailor lessons to AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, introductory finance, and management courses, with a strong emphasis on graphs, problem-solving strategies, and time management.
