About Michelle
I am a flute teacher and musician based in Woking, Surrey, originally from Hong Kong. With 15 years of teaching experience and a 100% ABRSM exam pass rate, including many Distinctions in flute and theory, I provide individual and small-group lessons for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players, with flexible scheduling. I have wide performance experience as a soloist and ensemble musician. My flute mentors include Mr Olivier Pierre Nowak, Co-Principal Flute of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and Ms Uranga Erdocia, former Principal Flute of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Education and Qualifications • Master of Arts in Music — The Chinese University of Hong Kong • Bachelor of Arts in Music — Hong Kong Baptist University • Postgraduate Diploma in Education — The Education University of Hong Kong • ABRSM Grade 8 Flute & Grade 8 Theory • LTCL (Trinity College London) Flute Performance — Distinction I am passionate about helping students grow in musicality, technique, and confidence, offering lessons that are structured, enjoyable, and inspiring.

Whether you are a complete beginner or preparing for ABRSM exams, I provide clear guidance on technique, tone, and musical expression. I use demonstration-based learning and give structured practice plans so students can progress confidently. Lessons are enjoyable, encouraging, and focused on building both musicality and discipline. I teach at a comfortable pace and celebrate every improvement, no matter how small. My aim is to help students feel motivated and proud of their playing.
