About Jessica

I've been a pastry chef for 16 years.
Over this period, I have worked in a variety of venues from large hotels to small restaurants and pubs, managing small teams to entire pastry sections and the highlight of those years has been passing on my knowledge to young chefs and people who would like to learn more about pastry.
Theory and development have always been my strongest skills, understanding pastry as a food science and discipline is my favourite hobby.
I'm currently studying for teaching qualifications and hope to become a full time pastry chef teacher in future.

About the lesson

Knowledge and theory is the backbone of improving pastry skills, I will explain the importance of theory while showing you skills, and techniques to achieve great results with every dessert.
I am experienced with a broad range of pastry from cakes, biscuits to lamination and breads.

Sanu is new to baking, she was very attentive and made sure to get all the equipment needed for the lesson. We had some oven issues which Sanu was extremely graceful about, it was great fun to be able to deliver her first pastry lesson.
