About the lesson

Rabeb – Percussion Tutor (Darbouka, Tabla, Djembé, Daff)

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
I use a personalized, step-by-step approach tailored to each student’s skill level and learning pace. Lessons combine technical exercises, rhythm training, hand coordination, and musical expression, with a focus on practical application and enjoyment of music. I incorporate visual demonstrations, call-and-response exercises, and interactive practice to ensure students understand and retain each rhythm.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A session usually begins with a warm-up and basic rhythm exercises, followed by learning specific patterns or simple compositions. Students then practice coordinated movements and hand techniques, integrating them into short pieces or group exercises. Each lesson ends with a cool-down, review of key points, and guidance for independent practice.

What Sets Me Apart:
With over 10 years of experience, I combine professional expertise with a passion for teaching. I adapt lessons to children, teenagers, and adults, ensuring each student is motivated, confident, and enjoys the learning process. My approach emphasizes musicality, rhythm, and cultural context, making lessons both educational and engaging.

Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons are designed for beginners of all ages, from children discovering percussion to adults starting or revisiting their musical journey. They are ideal for anyone interested in darbouka, djembé, tabla, daff, or hand percussion.
