About Josh
I have a strong passion for English and have demonstrated this in my work with all ages. I am a passionate reader, writer and I myself am soon embarking on further education by returning to university to complete a Masters in professional writing to aid my own development as well as hone my teaching skills.
I enjoy working with students of any age or background and believe my passion and professionalism is important to aid any student learn.
While working as a teacher full-time, I had a pleasant and friendly approach to students whilst still demanding high-quality work and a positive attitude to learning.
I understand that learning happens at different speeds and in different ways, and have always taken pleasure in aiding students whatever this might look like for them. I believe a personalised approach is best, especially when it comes to being tutored.

Welcome to my tutoring profile! I have a passion for English literature and a commitment to helping students of all ages excel in their studies.
With years of experience in teaching and education I am able to cater lessons to whatever age and level required. If you have a request to learn something with a particular focus or at a certain level in my field then I am comfortable planning and delivering content of this type.
I have worked in four schools in total, including two primary and two secondary schools. I have taught children through all UK key stages and worked with adults during my time in secondary schools as well.
By tailoring my methods to each student's unique learning style, I create engaging and interactive lessons that foster a deep understanding and appreciation for English literature. Through thought-provoking discussions, close textual analysis, and creative activities, I aim to ignite a love for reading and writing within my students.
I am very flexible in regards to what students wish to learn. I have a deep understanding of texts taught at primary, secondary and degree level and can cater my lessons to your individual needs, should you have anything specific. This is not just kept to English Literature, as I am also experienced in teaching creative writing (both fiction and non-fiction) and in aiding the development of reading skills.
