About Natalie
I'm Natalie, a qualified English teacher with over ten years of experience in education, both in the UK and internationally. I hold a Master’s in Education and have taught English across Key Stages 2 to 5 in mainstream schools. My experience spans diverse classrooms, and I’m skilled in adapting lessons to meet each student’s unique needs.
As a tutor, I bring a student-centred approach to each session. I believe in creating lessons that not only focus on required skills but also align with each student’s interests, making learning both relevant and enjoyable. I’ve developed resources approved by AQA and Edexcel, which are invaluable for students preparing for English Literature and Language exams. I can provide comprehensive exam preparation, including custom materials and essay feedback, ensuring students feel confident in tackling exam requirements to achieve their highest possible grade.
In addition to teaching, I enjoy singing and am currently working through my piano grades. These pursuits inspire me to bring creativity and encouragement into every lesson!

I have designed materials that have been exam-board approved by AQA, Edexcel. This means I have the resources to provide my students with exam preparation and essay feedback that is specific to the exam board that they are preparing for.
I have taught the curriculum for all levels from KS3-KS5. I like to prepare lessons that align with what the students are studying at school, so the lessons are relevant to them. I like to know which texts they will study and to feedback at the end of each lesson. I like to encourage an open dialogue with my students about how they are finding the topic.
For the first lesson I ask students to bring a piece of writing with them that might be in their school book, or a past essay or a practice exam paper. This gives me an idea of their strengths and areas to improve.
