About Toni
I am a Piano tutor with over 18 years of experience, teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My mission is to help students build technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence while making piano learning enjoyable and meaningful.
My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, clear instruction, and steady progress. I emphasise strong fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory, while also encouraging creativity and musical expression.
Lessons are explained in simple English and supported with practical exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to make learning engaging and effective.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace, age, and goals. For children, lessons are interactive and fun, keeping them motivated. For adults and professionals, sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and flexible to fit busy schedules.
I also provide guidance on home practice, performance preparation, and exam readiness. Many students have performed confidently, passed graded exams, and developed lifelong piano skills. Watching students grow musically is my most rewarding experience.

I follow a teaching methodology grounded in compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I believe that each student learns differently, and my role is to tailor lessons to their pace, abilities, and goals. In piano lessons, I combine structured technical exercises with creative exploration to help students develop skill, confidence, and musical understanding.
I break complex concepts into manageable steps, provide demonstrations, and encourage hands-on practice and active engagement. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are central to my approach, ensuring students remain motivated and confident.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same adaptable, student-centred methods. My aim is to inspire curiosity, foster growth, and help students achieve their goals while enjoying a lifelong love of learning and self-expression.
