About Kate
Hello! My name is Kate, and I have been teaching and tutoring for over ten years.
I absolutely love seeing a learner excel and improve in confidence as a result of my sessions. I enjoy coming up with new ways to present topics, particularly through playing games or using different activities to explain subjects that a learner finds challenging. It brings me so much joy to return to goals or targets and see the satisfaction when a student can say, "oh! I can do that now!"

My sessions are engaging, fun and full of games and interactive activities. I ensure that there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions and tackle topics that learners find challenging. Each session is entirely unique to the learner and specific to the topics within subjects that they find difficult.
Each session lasts an hour, but I also provide intensive lessons over a couple of hours, particularly for those wishing for help in multiple subjects.
I have a first class degree in English and History and a PGCE. I am currently working towards a masters in Education at Exeter with a specialism in SEND. I have experience in teaching and tutoring that spans over ten years.
I teach up to GCSE level but have also supported students in learning English as a foreign language and those returning to education.
