About Nothando

Hello! My name is Nothando Hlatywayo, and I am an English teacher from South Africa. I have a TEFL certificate and one year of English teaching experience. I am also currently studying towards my second year of a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business.

I am a friendly, patient, and dedicated teacher who enjoys helping students improve their English and become more confident speakers. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and focused on your individual learning needs.

In my lessons, we can work on speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and everyday English. I use simple explanations, practical examples, and conversation practice to make learning easier and more enjoyable.

I welcome beginner to intermediate students and will always encourage you to ask questions and learn at your own pace. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you feel confident making mistakes, practising English, and improving step by step.

About the lesson

I believe learning English should be simple, practical, and enjoyable. My teaching approach is student-centred, and I focus on helping students build confidence while improving their speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and pronunciation. I use practical examples and conversations so students can use English in real-life situations.

What makes me unique as a teacher is my patience, positive attitude, and ability to create a comfortable learning environment. I encourage students to speak without being afraid of making mistakes, because mistakes are an important part of learning.

I am proficient in English and can teach English to learners from different backgrounds. My lessons are mainly conducted in English, with simple explanations and support when needed.

In a typical lesson, we will start with a short conversation or review, introduce the lesson topic, practise new vocabulary or grammar, and finish with speaking activities. I also give students opportunities to ask questions and practise what they have learned.

My lessons are suitable for beginner, elementary, and intermediate English learners, including students who want to improve their conversational English, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or confidence. I also welcome students who need English for work, travel, school, or everyday communication.
