About Kylla
I graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Latin. During my time at Mercer, I participated in a sorority and was on the cheer team. However, academics remained at the forefront of my college experience and my hard work got me invited into the most prestigious liberal arts honor society in the US, Phi Beta Kappa. The society's motto is "love of learning is the guide to life" and I am certainly passionate about spreading knowledge to those who seek it!

I take a patient approach to my lessons. If something is not clicking, I offer alternative explanations and strategies to help think through complicated topics. There is never a one size fits all to learning! A lesson will typically start off with an explanation of a topic, then move on to application through example problems, and lastly guided practice; the ability to reproduce information by completing practice problems is critical for understanding and long-term retention. I am available to help high school students who need help with chemistry and biology (AP classes included) and college students including classes such as biochemistry and organic chemistry.
