About Leah
I am someone who was raised in the foster system, therefore, I know the struggle of being misunderstood, especially in a learning environment. With this being said, I managed to gain tools, skills and knowledge through experimenting with TONS of different practices. Because of this, I was able to graduate with two degrees. I now have experience within the journalism field, which has allowed me to continue learning. Teaching me that although school was over, the importance of understanding how you learn is a skill you will have to carry with yourself for the rest of your life. I want to give this skill to others.

My personal approach is based on understanding how my students work independently and uniquely. I know that we all have different minds and work in ways that might not be suited to the classroom. Having that one-on-one time with me ensures that we work together to learn new skills efficiently. Whether that’s through creative outlets such as rhymes, visuals and fun or through a more structured base such as flash cards, order and patterns. Working with me means you are guaranteed to leave with not only a better understanding but also a passionate one!
