About Janet's
I finished my Master's degree in Microbiology at King's College London in December 2024, and what this means is that I have studied everything taught in A-Level Biology and Chemistry, at a higher level. As a young researcher, I have actually worked in laboratories to contribute to scientific research, and a big part of this involves teaching your ideas to people, both in and out of science. If you like diagrams, and need someone to answer your questions, or to get some advice about how to handle exams, I'd be happy to help!

My student experience greatly informs my teaching approach, and I find that I teach the way I learn. This is mostly through many diagrams (visual learner here!), and exploring many questions along the way! I can also help with exam preparation, and am happy to provide guidance for neurodivergent students. Lessons typically last 1 hour, but can extend depending on the student's needs. These are mostly aimed at students in secondary school, or in Sixth Form, but can also be in primary school, for 11+ preparation. In terms of my qualifications, I completed my GCSEs at WHSG, with A-A*s (and 7-9s), and completed A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths (ABB). I then achieved a First Class in my BSc in Neuroscience at Queen Mary, and a Distinction in my MSc on The Microbiome at King's College London.
