About Lily
With 10 years of teaching and work experience, I have built a strong foundation as a drum tutor who enjoys guiding students from school to college levels. My passion for music began at a young age, but it truly grew when I started helping others learn. Over the 10 years, I discovered that teaching is not only about explaining techniques but also about inspiring confidence, discipline, and creativity in every learner. One of the most memorable milestones in my journey was coaching a small student band that performed at a youth festival.
Watching them overcome stage fear and play proudly in front of a large audience was a beautiful experience. I have also helped many students prepare for exams, competitions, and cultural events, and seeing their progress motivates me to keep improving as a tutor. My teaching style focuses on making drumming simple, structured, and enjoyable. I break down rhythm patterns, timing, hand positions, and practice routines into easy steps. I use real song examples, slow demonstrations, and regular feedback so students understand clearly and build confidence. I also encourage creativity by letting students try different styles and develop their own musical expression. I believe that every student has a unique rhythm inside them. With patience, positive guidance, and steady practice, they can achieve more than they imagine. My goal as a tutor is to help students grow not only as drummers but also as confident individuals who enjoy learning and expressing themselves. Teaching drum is my passion, and every lesson reminds me why I chose this meaningful path.

My teaching methodology for Drums is centred around Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I focus on helping students understand rhythm in a natural and enjoyable way, while building confidence and strong technical habits. My classes are simple, clear, and engaging, making them suitable for all levels. Motivation guides the flow of my lessons.
I help students stay interested by using short challenges, progress tracking, and song-based learning. Every achievement, even small improvements, is celebrated so the student feels proud and inspired to continue. Communication is one of my strengths as a teacher. I explain every technique in simple English, show demonstrations slowly, and repeat steps until the student is comfortable. I also ask students about their goals and learning preferences so the lessons match their style.
