About Ezra
I have spent three transformative years helping over 95 students discover their potential in physics. I hold a master's degree in physics with distinction and am currently engaged in research at the intersection of particle physics and detector technology. My teaching journey began as a graduate teaching assistant where I discovered that my enthusiasm for physics could be contagious. I have chosen to focus my early career on tutoring because it allows me to build the deep individual relationships that accelerate learning. My students range from GCSE candidates struggling with basic concepts to A-level students aiming for top grades in competitive university admissions. I am known for my energy, my patience, and my willingness to explain concepts using analogies from gaming, music, and sports that resonate with younger learners. I invest significant time in creating custom animations and simulations that make abstract physics visible. Outside of teaching, I participate in physics outreach programs at local museums and compete in amateur athletics. I believe that a teacher's effectiveness is measured not by years of service but by the depth of their commitment to each student's success.

Despite being early in my teaching career I have developed a fresh and highly effective approach to physics education that resonates with today's students. My method is built on immediacy relevance and active engagement. I begin every lesson with a surprising demonstration or thought experiment that creates cognitive dissonance and motivates students to seek understanding. For forces and motion I use motion sensors video analysis and simple sports examples to build intuitive understanding of Newton's laws before formal treatment. Electricity is taught through circuit building troubleshooting exercises and analogies to fluid flow that make current voltage and resistance conceptually clear. Particle physics is introduced through the history of discovery showing students how technological advances revealed ever deeper layers of matter. I maintain a highly interactive classroom style with frequent questioning collaborative problem solving and immediate feedback. I teach students to use vector diagrams field line sketches and energy bar charts as thinking tools that make abstract concepts visual and manageable. Every session ends with a reflection exercise where students articulate their key learning and identify areas needing further clarification. I am particularly skilled at helping students who feel intimidated by physics build confidence through early successes.
