About Paul
I am a San Francisco attorney and legal writing professor with 20 years of experience. I earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies, a M.A. in English Composition, and a J.D. before being admitted to the State Bar of California in 1999. I have taught writing to hundreds of students at numerous colleges and universities in the Bay Area.

I adapt my teaching methods to my audience. In the classroom, I employ the Socratic method, lectures, moderated class discussions, humor. In a one-to-one tutoring session, I follow a coaching model incorporating dialogue, inspiration, humor, and extensive written feedback to help writers develop.
