About Gia
Over the past twelve years, I have guided more than 520 students through the often intimidating landscape of physics education. My background includes a master's degree in theoretical physics and several years of research experience in materials science before I committed fully to teaching. I have worked in schools, tutoring centres, and private homes across multiple countries, which has given me a broad perspective on different curricula and learning cultures. My students have gone on to study engineering, medicine, astrophysics, and architecture at prestigious universities worldwide. I am known among my students for my ability to explain complex phenomena using simple language and memorable analogies. I maintain an extensive library of custom-built simulations and practice problems that I continuously refine based on student feedback. Physics is not a collection of formulae to memorise but a way of seeing the invisible forces that shape our universe. My teaching method centres on conceptual anchoring before mathematical manipulation. I use everyday objects, household experiments, and digital simulations to make abstract principles tangible. When teaching mechanics, I might have students analyse the physics of skateboarding or roller coasters. For electromagnetism, we build simple circuits and explore field patterns using iron filings and magnets. I structure lessons as investigative journeys where students predict, observe, calculate, and reflect. Each session includes a conceptual warm-up, a core investigation, and a synthesis phase where students explain the concept back to me in their own words. I emphasise dimensional analysis, unit consistency, and the physical meaning behind every symbol in an equation. Problem-solving is taught as a systematic process of modelling assumptions, selecting principles, executing mathematics, and evaluating whether the answer makes physical sense. I also prepare students for practical assessments by teaching experimental design, error analysis, and data interpretation skills.
