About Odalys
Hi, I’m Odalys! I’ve been teaching physics for 9 years, and 7 of those have been live online. I earned my B.S. in Optics from the University of Rochester and my M.Ed. in Science Education from Nazareth University. I hold a New York State teaching certification in Physics for grades 7–12 and spent two years as an optical engineer at an imaging company in Rochester. I now teach as an adjunct instructor at Monroe Community College. I’m proud of a third grader who built a pinhole camera from a cereal box and of a high schooler who measured how lenses bend light for her science fair. Families describe me as calm, clear and very well prepared.

Welcome! I teach physics and science from kindergarten to 12th grade, plus college and adult learners, including homework help, test prep, AP and honors courses. Lessons are live and one-on-one on Zoom or Google Meet with a digital whiteboard, and each one starts with a Flash Goal that you choose. Rochester is the home of Kodak, so our signature activity is the Pinhole Camera Lab, where you build a camera from a box and learn how light travels and forms images. Between lessons, try a Photo Hunt, and at the end, pick an Exit Emoji. To start, message me your grade and what you’d like to understand. Your free trial lesson comes first.
