About Dagny
I am a senior classics major with a minor in political philosophy who is looking into a MA in classics or medieval studies. I especially love reading Vergil and hagiographies. I began my study of Latin over 13 years ago in a Classical Christian school where I learned to read, write, and speak it. I enjoy sharing my love for the language, so I began tutoring 6 years ago.

The best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself by both reading and speaking the language, so each lesson integrates reading, writing, and speaking. I teach all ages and all skill levels whether you are a student in the lower grades, high school, or undergraduate level. Students may be total novices, beginning with basic grammar and vocabulary, or more experienced seeking to improve their skills and repertoire of texts. Each lesson is one hour in which we discuss grammar, syntax, and vocabulary with the goal of fluency in Latin and, of course, just having fun!
-At the beginning level, I use Wheelock’s Latin.
-For the intermediate level, I use Aeneas to Augustus.
-At the advanced level, students may decide what they wish to read (prose or verse).
