About Amanda
Hi! I’m Amanda, a senior pre-dental student at the University of Mississippi majoring in Allied Health Studies with a concentration in Medical Laboratory Science and a minor in Chemistry. I mainly tutor Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, but I also help students in General Chemistry, Biology, and other core pre-med/pre-dental prerequisite courses. I am also currently studying for the DAT and grad school applications so I am happy to give advice and assist those who are predent/premed.

My teaching style focuses on simplifying difficult concepts and helping students truly understand the material rather than just memorizing it. I know these classes can feel overwhelming because I have personally completed them myself, so I try to explain topics in a way that is less intimidating and easier to apply on exams.
A typical lesson would include reviewing lecture concepts, working through plenty of practice problems (I will provide as many as needed), focusing and identifying weak points, and building effective study strategies tailored to each student.
What sets me apart is that I recently completed these courses successfully myself and understand what professors expect, common mistakes students make, and the study methods that actually work. My lessons are best suited for college students, and anyone taking introductory or intermediate science courses, especially pre-medical or pre-dental prerequisites.
