I am a Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience building production-grade systems for leading scientific organisations, including CERN and EMBL-EBI in Cambridge. Throughout my career, I have worked on complex, data-driven platforms used by researchers and professionals worldwide, taking projects from initial design all the way to deployment and long-term maintenance.

Alongside my professional work, I have always enjoyed teaching and mentoring. During my time at university, I worked as a lecturer and teaching assistant, supporting students from different backgrounds and helping them understand technical concepts in a clear and structured way. In my professional career, I have also mentored junior developers and collaborators, guiding them until they were able to confidently contribute to real-world projects.

I am passionate about making programming accessible and understandable. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, practical steps, and adapting my explanations to each student’s level and pace. Whether you are just starting out or looking to deepen your skills, my goal is to help you gain confidence and become an independent problem solver.

About the lesson

I take a practical, structured approach to teaching programming, focused on helping students truly understand concepts and apply them in real-world scenarios.

My lessons are typically 1 hour long and tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I am very patient and make sure we build a solid foundation before moving forward, especially for students who need more time to fully grasp a topic.

I have over 10 years of professional experience as a software engineer, having worked at organisations such as CERN and EMBL-EBI, and I also have teaching experience from my time as a lecturer and mentor.
