I take a structured approach to tutoring. First, I will address any questions that the student may have about the subject that they are learning, then ask them to list general areas of confusion. I will explain those concepts in a novel way, and then walk through problems relating to that subject. How much you get out of tutoring depends on me, but it also depends on you. I will assign problems to work on outside of tutoring so that you have questions when you come back. This approach may look different for each student, of course. I have access to digital whiteboard technology that will make this process extremely user-friendly.
